What We Collect

  • Your age range, goals, and preferences from onboarding
  • Your conversations with Coach Chris (our AI coach)
  • Payment information (processed securely by our payment providers)

Note: During signup, we temporarily store your answers in your browser. This is cleared after you complete registration.

How We Use Your Information

  • Create your personalized weekly action plans
  • Send you these plans every Sunday via email
  • Have Coach Chris respond to your emails with personalized guidance
  • Process your subscription payments
  • Improve our service and develop new features
  • Train and improve our AI models (using anonymized or aggregated data)
  • Analyze usage patterns and service performance

How AI Providers Process Your Data

When you interact with Coach Chris or receive personalized plans, we send your queries and relevant context to our AI providers through their APIs. Here's what you should know:

  • What we send: Your questions, goals, preferences, and conversation history as needed for context
  • Processing: AI providers process this data to generate responses but typically don't store it long-term
  • Data retention: Most AI providers retain API data temporarily (usually 30 days or less) for safety and debugging
  • Training: Major AI providers generally don't train on API data by default, but policies vary

We recommend reviewing the privacy policies of our AI providers for their specific data practices. We select partners with strong privacy commitments.

Your Rights

  • Request a copy of your data
  • Update or correct your information
  • Delete your account and data
  • Cancel your subscription anytime
  • Opt out of weekly emails (though that's our main service!)

Making Novo North Better

We learn from how people use our service to make it better for everyone. This means we might:

  • Look at conversation patterns (without names attached)
  • See what goals are most common
  • Improve Coach Chris based on what works
  • Find the best times to send plans

Don't worry - we always remove personal details first. It's about patterns, not people.

Security

We use industry-standard security measures to protect your data. Payment information is processed securely by our payment providers. All data is encrypted in transit and at rest.

How Long We Keep Your Data

Active accounts: We keep your data as long as you're subscribed.
After cancellation: We typically retain your data for a reasonable period in case you want to reactivate.
Legal requirements: Some records may be kept longer for tax, legal, or business purposes.

Age and Parental Consent

If you're under 18, please have a parent or guardian review these terms with you and supervise your use of our service. We recommend parental involvement for all fitness and personal development programs for minors.

For California Residents (CCPA)

If you live in California, you have additional rights:

  • Request deletion of your personal information
  • Opt-out of any "sale" of data
